PROGRAM GOALS

The Foundation for Positively Kids is committed to providing an environment that will have a positive effect on the growth and development of Las Vegas' medically fragile children.

Upon admittance to our program, each child receives a physical and developmental assessment, as well as an evaluation of the psychosocial needs of the family unit. Based on these assessments, we then develop an individualized, interdisciplinary plan of care for the child and their family.

Programs offered by Positively Kids strive to embrace each child's unique needs, while providing the services essential to their well being and happiness. Vital to the success of every program we provide is its ability to achieve these goals:

  • Help medically fragile children reach their full potential

  • Create hope and foster inclusion

  • Promote comfort and quality of life

Testimonials

"My daughter has completed her therapy with the Positively Kids Program. I wanted you to know what a difference this program has made in my daughter’s life and our family.  In the beginning, she did not trust outsiders and did not well will following instructions, recognizing and pointing to objects.  With a lot of hard work and attention from our therapist, she was able to trust her, recognize and point to objects, listen and follow directions well.  Without your help, my daughter could not have reached the goals we set out for her and gained the self confidence to be more self-sufficient!" - Mother of Daughter in Early Intervention Program

"I had my IEP meeting today for my daughter, and she qualified for school and SLP services. I am so thankful to you and your therapists for helping me with my daughter!" - Mother of Daughter in Early Intervention Program

"I honestly do not know where we would be without you guys; I mean that.  Your support is incredible!" - Mother of Daughter in Early Intervention Program

"Your tutor is great with my daughter.  They clicked and this has been great. The tutor understands the way my daughter learns, and that is helpful with us; we love her.  Also, my daughter’s high school proficiency exam scores have improved with the tutor.  Reading is up 100 points!" - Mother of Daughter in Sib Shop Program

"My daughter no longer needs tutoring services as her needs have been accomplished by the tutor.  She has done what we needed for her to learn.  I would recommend your tutoring program!" - Mother of Daughter in Sib Shop Program

"Great program.  My son’s confidence in reading is much better since tutoring.  His teacher has now stated that he seems more focused and more eager to participate in reading group than before tutoring!" - Mother of Son in Sib Shop Program
